Texts from NovaGive
NovaGive sends text messages on behalf of churches, mosques and temples that use its giving kiosks. This page is the whole of the program: what we send, how often, what it costs you, and how to stop.
What we send
Two kinds of message, from one NovaGive number, each starting with the short name of the place of worship it is sent for:
- Donation receipts. When you give at a kiosk and ask for your receipt by text, you get one message with the amount, the date and a link to your receipt. One text per gift, no more. Asking for a receipt by text does not sign you up for anything else.
- News, with your consent only. If, on the kiosk's receipt screen, you tick the box that says you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and news texts from that place of worship, it may send you news and appeals by text: at most four messages a month. Each one ends with how to stop. Ticking the box is never a condition of giving, and the receipt arrives whether you tick it or not.

Sample news message: St Marys: Join us Sunday at 10 for the harvest service, followed by lunch in the hall. Reply STOP to opt out.
Frequency and cost
Receipts: one text per gift you ask a receipt for. News: up to four texts a month per place of worship you have agreed to hear from. Message and data rates may apply; your mobile plan sets them, not NovaGive and not the church. We never charge you for a text.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message. That ends every text from NovaGive's number to your phone, receipts included, for every place of worship, at once. You get one confirmation text and nothing more. Reply START to resume. You can also ask to stop in plain words ("please stop texting me", "unsubscribe"), tell the church, or write to support@novagives.com; each works just as well.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for a short description of the program and our address, or write to support@novagives.com. For a question about a gift or a receipt, contact the place of worship you gave to; its name is at the start of every message.
Your number
Your mobile number is used to send the receipt you asked for and, only if you ticked the box, the news you agreed to. It is stored for the place of worship you gave to and for NovaGive as its service provider. Mobile opt-in information is never shared with or sold to anyone else for their marketing. The privacy page says what else we keep and for how long.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and on coverage; a receipt that cannot be delivered by text can be sent to you again by email on request to the place of worship.
